The legal system can help provide safety and protection to domestic violence victims. But going to court, whether you have a restraining order hearing or other domestic violence-related hearing, can be intimidating. Your partner may be there and that can also be intimidating. If you would like support at your hearing, WATCH is here to help.

· When available, a WATCH volunteer will accompany you to legal proceedings.
· Our advocate will stay by your side and provide reassurance during your hearing.
· WATCH advocates are not allowed to speak for you or provide legal advice, but having a WATCH representative present will boost your confidence, help you stay focused, and give you comfort.

Women At The Court House (WATCH)
MISSION
Women At The Court House (WATCH) is dedicated to the support of women victims of violence who are working through the legal system to secure protection for themselves & their families and testify against violent perpetrators.
- Women At The Court House (WATCH) is a pilot advocacy project of the Zonta Club of Fort Worth
- Women who are victims of violence often feel traumatized, overwhelmed, frightened and powerless
- The Zonta Club of Fort Worth would like to assist these women as they deal with the legal system
- Volunteers will receive training prior to providing any services
- Volunteers attend court with women who are there for protective orders or as witnesses in assault, domestic violence and rape cases, etc.
- Volunteers will help with the completion of any necessary paperwork
